Carol...you are the best.

And Gaunce still hasn't scored an actual NHL goal.

Discuss.

Thanks Carol, hopefully another year of the Sedins is in the works, and allow the prospects a good year in Utica. As far as I’m concerned they have hurt the development of Hutton, Stecher, and Virtanen by not allowing them to develop in a real development league.

Did he shoot the puck with his hockey stick, why yes he did✔️
Did the puck go in the net...why yes it did✔️
Was the goal counted on the score sheet...why yes it was✔️

Gaunce now has a good goal that was shot at an NHL goal keeper, so good goal.✔️✔️✔️

You just look at Jagr and tell me it's good idea to resign the Sedin's. There are a lot of other free agents that are younger, faster and able to back check and play in all situations and not just the PP.

I see my comment has upset you, I deleted the flag

The Sedins are what is holding this team together right now, to me it’s plain and simple. Good luck finding these so called free agents that are younger, faster and able to back check.

And get a better comparable, Jagr is 9 years older, should I just arbitrarily pick a player 9 years younger and use that as a comparison.

I felt before they even played 1 regular season game that they were still a bottom three team. I felt that way after the hot unexpected start. The season is 82 games long for a reason... to separate the good teams from the bad. Games in October and November don't mean a whole heck of a lot. It's in the heat of the playoff races after Christmas that proves a teams metal ... and for the last half dozen years we've pretty well proven were made of tin. Nothing is cut and dried...its an opinion that's all , based on around a 500 game sample size . The roster is crap...even with Bo and Sutter and gudbranson and tanev....vanek yadda yadda yadda !

I felt that they were bottom 5-10, there is change happening, but the team is still at the beginning of pulling out of bottom feeder status to playoff bubble team. Another couple of years IMO.

4 games above .500 with Horvat in the lineup. That’s including games missed by Tanev, Edler, Gudbranson, Stetcher, Dorsett, Eriksson, Sutter, Boeser healthy scratched, etc.

Plus they’re adjusting to a new coach/system.

This roster is better than given credit for + the prospect pool will be stacked after this upcoming draft.

I agree with guddy, he hasn't really got comfortable being injured most of his tenure here and at this level confidence is huge.

They aren't a bottom 3 team. Arizona, Buffalo, Ottawa, Montreal and maybe Edmonton are worse than us, and aren't decimated by massive injuries like we are. If we're still in a nose dive once Bo, Sutter are back and healthy and have had a chance to get back into game shape, then you have a point.

Most of team team’s injuries have been down the middle at C/D. Outside of cup contending teams, most would falter like the Canucks have.

Easier to score when playing behind JT who gets the toughest matchups + Barzal plays with JT on the PP.

2 lines were wiped out long term with injuries to sutter, bo and dorsett retiring, a rebuilding team cant survive that, the center ice position is so important and you need speed there and sutter and bo kill penalties are good at faceoffs.

I had this conversation recently. Boeser is better than Barzal for this reason. Boeser plays the top pair every night. He's good for the Sedin's in the same way as JT is good for Barzal

I have changed my mind over this season and agree that a 1 year extension makes a lot of sense.

I desperately wanted a change of culture and change for changes sake. Signing UFA's would mean term ie; Loui Eriksson. My only condition would be that Henrik offer the 'C' to Horvat before the season starts.
